Terms & Conditions
Last updated:
Please read these terms before you buy. They explain how buying a ticket through BimTikit works, what happens if plans change, and what we each expect of one another. If anything is unclear, email us at support@bimtikit.com before you pay.
1. About BimTikit and these terms
BimTikit is an online ticketing platform at https://bimtikit.com. We sell tickets, and in some cases drinks, on behalf of the people and businesses who put on events. In these terms we call them "organisers". "We", "us" and "our" mean BimTikit. "You" means the person buying or using a ticket.
When you buy through BimTikit, we take your payment on the organiser's behalf and later pass the organiser their share. We run the website, the checkout, the ticket emails and the door-scanning tools.
We do not run the events. The organiser is responsible for the event itself: the venue, the line-up, the timings, safety, and who is let in. Where these terms say something depends on the organiser, it is the organiser's decision, not ours.
These terms cover your purchase from BimTikit. An organiser or venue may also have its own rules, and you should follow those too.
2. Accepting these terms
By completing a purchase on BimTikit, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't buy.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one that was published when you made your purchase, unless the law requires a later version to apply.
3. Buying tickets
Prices. Organisers set their own ticket and drink prices. All prices on BimTikit are in Barbados dollars (BBD).
What you pay. Before you pay, checkout shows three things: the cost of your tickets (and any drinks), a single "Taxes & Fees" amount, and the Total. Taxes & Fees may include BimTikit's platform fee and the card processing charge. For some events the organiser covers part or all of these costs, so the amount varies from event to event, and it may be zero.
The Total. The Total at checkout is the amount you are asked to pay. If something changes the Total before your order is placed, the order is not created at the old amount, and you can review the new Total before going ahead. The payment page confirms the final amount before you complete payment.
Order limits. There is a limit on how many tickets can be bought in a single order.
Holding your tickets. When you go to pay, we hold your tickets for 15 minutes. If payment isn't completed in that time, the hold ends and the tickets go back on sale.
Paying. You pay on the secure page of the payment processor chosen for the event, not on BimTikit's own pages. Your card details are entered there, and BimTikit never sees them. Your order is only confirmed once the processor confirms the payment to us. Coming back to our website after paying does not, by itself, confirm an order. Free tickets don't go through a payment processor.
Late payments. If your payment goes through after the 15-minute hold has ended, we will either issue your tickets or return your payment. If tickets for the event have run out, we may be unable to issue them. In that case no order goes ahead, and the whole amount you were charged, Taxes & Fees included, is returned to you. Quote your order reference if you contact us about this.
Trying again. Each new order is a separate payment. If you're unsure whether a payment worked, wait for your confirmation email or contact us before trying again, so you aren't charged twice.
Check before you pay. You are responsible for the choices you make at checkout: the event, the ticket type, the number of tickets, any drinks, and your contact details. A mistake of this kind on your part is not, on its own, a reason for a refund.
Confirmation. When your order is confirmed, we email your tickets to the address you gave at checkout. If you notice you typed the email address wrongly, contact support@bimtikit.com as soon as you can, with your name and the event, so we can help.
4. Your tickets and entry
How tickets reach you. Your tickets arrive by email from BimTikit <support@bimtikit.com>. The email contains a QR code for each ticket and a link to your order page. To see your tickets on the order page, you'll need to enter the email address you used when buying. If the email hasn't arrived, check your spam or junk folder, then contact us or the organiser. The organiser can resend the confirmation email to the address on the order.
No account needed. You don't need a BimTikit account to buy tickets. Your order is linked to the email address you gave.
Keep your tickets private. Treat your ticket email and QR codes like cash. Don't post them online or share screenshots of them.
One ticket, one entry. Each QR code lets one person in, once. The first time a valid ticket is scanned at the door, it is marked as used. Any later scan of the same ticket, including a copy, screenshot or forwarded version, will be refused. If someone else uses your ticket before you arrive, we cannot let you in on that ticket.
Ticket codes. Each ticket also has a ticket code, shown in your email and on your order page. If a QR code won't scan, door staff can type the code in instead.
Whose name is on the ticket. Every online ticket in an order shows the name of the person who placed the order, including tickets you bought for friends or family. When staff have to type a ticket code in by hand, they may ask for photo ID in that name. If your guests will arrive without you, make sure each of them has their own QR code ready to scan, or plan to arrive together.
Printed tickets. Some organisers also sell printed tickets through outlets they choose. Printed tickets don't carry a name, and whoever holds one can use it. You buy them from the organiser or outlet, not through our website, so questions about paying for or refunding a printed ticket should go to them. A batch of printed tickets that has been lost or stolen may be cancelled, and cancelled tickets will not be accepted.
Drinks vouchers. If you pre-order drinks, each drink comes with its own QR voucher on the same order. Each voucher is redeemed once, at the bar, and is refused if shown again.
Refused tickets. Tickets that have been refunded or cancelled, and tickets for a cancelled event, will not scan.
5. Entry conditions
Entry rules are set by the organiser and the venue, not by BimTikit. They may include ID checks, age limits, dress codes, bag or body searches, and other conditions. The organiser and venue keep the right to refuse entry or to remove anyone from the event.
Check the event page and any messages from the organiser before you go. If you are refused entry or removed because you did not meet the organiser's or venue's conditions, you will not get a refund.
6. Refunds
All sales are final. A confirmed order can't be cancelled or refunded simply because you would rather not go, found the event disappointing, typed the wrong details at checkout, or can no longer make it.
The organiser decides. Refunds happen only when the organiser agrees to one. BimTikit processes a refund only on the organiser's instruction.
Asking in good time. An organiser who offers refunds may only accept requests up to a certain point before or after the event. If the event page doesn't say, ask the organiser or email support@bimtikit.com as early as you can. A request that reaches the organiser too late may be turned down. When you write, include your order reference.
Taxes & Fees are not refunded. When a refund is approved, including when an event is cancelled, you get back the price of your tickets and any drinks on the order. The Taxes & Fees you paid are not refunded. The only exception is the late-payment case in section 3, where we could not issue any tickets for your payment and return the whole amount.
Whole orders only. A refund applies to the whole order. We can't refund part of an order. Once an order is refunded, all of its tickets and any unused drinks vouchers are cancelled and can no longer be used. A drink that has already been served can't be handed back.
How you get your money. Refunds go back to the card or payment method you used, through the payment processor. How long the money takes to reach you depends on the processor and your bank or card issuer, so we can't promise a set time.
7. Cancelled events
If an event is cancelled, its tickets can no longer be used for entry.
Refunds for a cancelled event are not automatic. The organiser decides whether refunds are offered. If the organiser approves them, BimTikit processes them on the organiser's instruction as described in section 6, and Taxes & Fees are not refunded.
8. Postponed or rescheduled events
A change of date or time doesn't cancel your ticket. It will get you in on the rescheduled date, and you don't need to do anything to keep it.
It's up to you to keep an eye on the event page and on messages from the organiser for updates. If you can't make the new date, you can only get a refund if the organiser chooses to offer one.
9. Changes to the event
Organisers sometimes change performers, the line-up, start and finish times, or the venue. These changes are the organiser's responsibility. Unless the organiser decides to offer refunds, a change to the event does not entitle you to one.
10. Resale and transfers
No resale for profit. Tickets are sold for your own use and for the people you're buying for. You must not resell tickets for more than you paid, or offer them for sale on other websites or social media for profit. If we or the organiser find that tickets from an order have been resold this way, we may cancel that order, which stops every ticket on it from scanning, and no money will be returned.
Transfers. BimTikit does not offer ticket transfers or name changes. If you want to give a ticket to someone else, check with the organiser first. Whether that's allowed, and how, is up to them. The ticket will still show the buyer's name, so see "Whose name is on the ticket" in section 4.
Buying elsewhere. Only buy tickets through BimTikit or through outlets the organiser has authorised. We can't honour, replace or refund tickets bought from anyone else. If a ticket from another source has already been used, or has been copied or cancelled, you won't get in on it.
11. Chargebacks and payment disputes
Before you ask your bank to reverse a charge, please email support@bimtikit.com and tell us what went wrong. Most payment problems are quicker to fix directly with us.
If you file a chargeback or dispute that isn't justified, we may challenge it with your bank. We may also cancel the order involved, so none of its tickets will scan, and we may decline future orders placed with the same email address or name.
12. International buyers and bank fees
Prices are charged in Barbados dollars (BBD). If your card is issued outside Barbados, or in another currency, your bank or card network may add currency conversion or foreign transaction fees. These charges are outside BimTikit's control, they are not part of the Total shown at checkout, and we can't refund them.
13. Your information
What we collect. At checkout we collect your name, your email address, and your phone number if you choose to give it. We also keep a record of your order: the tickets and drinks you bought, the amounts, the payment reference from the processor, and the date and time. Each time a ticket is scanned at the door, the scan is recorded.
Who we share it with.
- The organiser of the event can see your name, email address and phone number, and can download them, so they can manage their event and contact you about it. The organiser is responsible for how they use your details.
- The payment processor for the event. Depending on the processor, we may pass on your name, email address and phone number, or you may enter your details directly on the processor's own page.
- Our email provider, which sends your ticket emails.
- Our hosting provider, Google Cloud (Firebase). Your information may be stored and processed outside Barbados, including in the United States.
- Door staff, who see the name on a ticket when it is checked.
What we don't do. We don't sell your information. BimTikit's own pages don't use advertising or analytics tracking.
Content from other services. Some event pages include videos or maps from other providers, such as YouTube, Vimeo or OpenStreetMap. When one of these loads, that provider may receive your IP address or set its own cookies, under its own privacy policy rather than ours.
Stored in your browser. To make checkout easier, the site saves some details in your own browser: your basket, the name, email and phone you entered, and any events you've saved. This stays on your device, and you can remove it by clearing your browser's site data.
How long we keep it. We keep order records for as long as we need them to run events, deal with refunds and disputes, pay organisers, and meet our legal and accounting duties.
Your choices. You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We may need to keep some records, such as payment and order history, where the law or an open dispute requires it. To make a request, email support@bimtikit.com.
14. Acceptable use
When you use BimTikit, you agree not to:
- use bots, scripts or other automated tools to buy tickets, or buy tickets in bulk in order to resell them;
- make purchases with a payment card or account you aren't authorised to use, or otherwise act fraudulently;
- copy, alter, forge or tamper with tickets, QR codes, ticket codes or drinks vouchers;
- interfere with, disrupt, or try to get unauthorised access to the website, the checkout or the scanning tools.
If we reasonably believe you have broken these rules, we may cancel the orders involved without returning any money, and we may decline future orders placed with the same email address or name.
15. Liability
BimTikit is not the organiser and does not run the events listed on our site. We are not responsible for the event itself, including its quality, content, safety, timings, or whether it goes ahead. Any complaint about the event should go to the organiser, though we're happy to help pass it on.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you in connection with an order is limited to what you paid on that order for tickets and drinks.
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by things outside our reasonable control. These include problems with payment processors, banks, email or internet services, or events the organiser has not told us about.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, or takes away any rights you have by law as a consumer.
16. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, for example to reflect changes to our service or to the law. When we do, we'll publish the new version on our website with a new "Last updated" date. Your order is governed by the version in force when you bought, unless the law requires otherwise.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Barbados. Any dispute about them, or about a purchase made through BimTikit, will be dealt with by the courts of Barbados.
